The software engineer behind Amma Health
Amma Health was designed, built and is maintained by Velagapudi Dhanvin Raj, a web developer from Vuyyuru, near Vijayawada, in Andhra Pradesh. He wrote the whole system — the backend, the web application and the Android app.
What he built
Amma Health is hospital management software used to run the administration of a hospital: the front desk, appointments, billing, staff and multiple branches. It is not one application but three that have to agree with each other — a Python API and PostgreSQL database, a React web application, and a native Android app in Kotlin — all speaking to one contract.
Who sells it
Amma Health is sold and operated by Yalamanchili Hari Phanindra Kumar, its proprietor, from Vapi in Gujarat. He is the contracting party named in the Terms and the contact for any complaint or data query. Dhanvin designed and built the software.
Web development for businesses
Outside Amma Health he builds websites and web applications for businesses — the same work, at whatever size a business needs it: a site that loads fast and can actually be found, a tool that replaces a spreadsheet, or a system that ties together the parts of an operation that currently talk to each other by phone.
The approach is the one visible in this product. Build the thing the business actually runs on rather than the thing that demonstrates well. Make it fast, make it honest about what it does, and write down why it was built that way so the next person can pick it up.
