What’s new in Amma Health: October 2026
By Velagapudi Dhanvin Raj4 min read
A short, plain list of what changed in Amma Health this month. We will post one of these whenever there is something worth telling you, so you can see what is new without having to hunt for it.
Patients can ask for appointments online
Every hospital can now have its own booking page, in its own colours and wording. A patient picks a day and a doctor, confirms their email with a one-time code, and the request lands in your front desk's queue. Your team confirms an open time, which books a real appointment, or declines with a reason. The patient is emailed either way, and the email carries your hospital's name, logo, phone number and colours.
You can choose a layout, your brand colour, a headline and a short notice, and decide whether the page shows your phone number and address. See how online booking works.
A calmer, quicker front desk
- The queue is a live board. Each patient has one clear next step: check in, start consultation or continue. The counts update by themselves.
- Walk-in takes two clicks: pick or register a patient and a doctor, and they are in the queue.
- Book again on a finished visit, and bookings remember the last doctor and length you used.
- Search finds a patient as you type, by name, phone number or ID.
- Ctrl + K jumps to any patient, page or setting, or starts a walk-in.
- Needs your attention on the dashboard lists patients who have waited a long time, requests from your website, and money still to collect.
- A bill with nothing charged on it no longer shows up as money to collect.
Billing you can lay out your own way
- Take payment in the same step as the bill, from one screen.
- GST shown as CGST and SGST, with an optional HSN or SAC code for each service.
- Bill layout: choose which details your bills show, pick a template and your colours, and see a live preview before you save.
- Receipts now carry the patient's details, the payments received, the balance and the amount in words, and cancelled bills are clearly marked.
- A WhatsApp button prepares the bill message for you; your staff press send.
If you are unsure what to charge GST on, we wrote a plain guide.
Four looks, and you pick yours
Light, Dark, Rose (soft plum and pink) and Rose Dark. Each person chooses their own, and new team members are asked during their first welcome tour. We also removed the moving glows from the signed-in screens, because they pull your eye away from the work.
Settings in one place
The side menu is now just the things you use every day: the queue, appointment requests, patients, billing, analytics and announcements. Everything you set up once (branches, staff, roles, billing, patient form, booking page, storage, audit log, subscription) lives under Settings.
Android
The Android app has the same looks, a Settings screen that works like a profile, an Activity screen for owners that shows who did what, and a cleaner sign-in. See the app.
A new website
The website you are reading is new. It shows the real application instead of drawings, has its own page for each topic, and is faster to read on a phone. If something on it is unclear or wrong, tell us.
What we are working on
We do not announce things before they work. When the next update is ready, it will be on this page.
